Upgrading or Downgrading Your Hosting Plan Print

  • 0

You can move between plans at any time from the client area, and the price is adjusted pro-rata.

How to change plan

  1. Log in and open Services → My Services.
  2. Click the service you want to change.
  3. Click Upgrade/Downgrade.
  4. Select the new plan and confirm.
  5. Pay the pro-rata invoice. The change applies once payment is confirmed.

What happens to my site?

Upgrades and downgrades within shared hosting normally happen in place — only the resource limits change. There is no downtime and nothing to re-upload. If a move between servers is required, we will tell you in advance and handle the transfer.

Before downgrading

  • Check that your current disk usage, inode count and number of domains fit within the smaller plan
  • Confirm the features you rely on are included
  • Reduce usage first if you are over the new limits, otherwise the change can fail

When to move to a Cloud VPS

Consider a VPS if you regularly hit CPU or entry-process limits, need root access or custom software, run a busy store, or must meet specific compliance requirements. A VPS is not automatically faster — it is more control and more responsibility.

Not sure which plan?

Open a ticket with your domain and a note about your traffic. We will look at the actual resource metrics for your account and recommend the plan that fits — including telling you if the one you are on is already right.
