How to Point Your Domain to HostingSutra Print

If your domain is registered elsewhere, you point it at your hosting by changing its nameservers.

Step 1: Find your nameservers

They are in your welcome email, and on the service page in your client area. They look like:

• ns1.hostingsutra.com
• ns2.hostingsutra.com

Always use the exact values shown for your account.

Step 2: Update them at your registrar

1. Log in to the company where the domain was registered.
2. Find the domain management or DNS settings page.
3. Choose Custom nameservers (not "default" or "parking").
4. Replace the existing entries with the HostingSutra nameservers.
5. Save.

If the domain is registered with us

Go to Domains → My Domains in the client area, click the domain, open Nameservers, and choose the default nameservers or enter custom ones.

Step 3: Wait for propagation

Nameserver changes typically take 1–4 hours and can take up to 24–48 hours worldwide. During this period some visitors see the new site and others see the old one — this is normal.

Alternative: keep your DNS elsewhere

If you use Cloudflare or another DNS provider and prefer to keep it, do not change nameservers. Instead edit the A record for @ and www to point to your server IP address, shown on the service page in your client area.

Verify it worked

Use a DNS lookup tool such as whatsmydns.net and check the NS record for your domain. Once it shows the HostingSutra nameservers in most locations, you are done.
